Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you (the business using Ranka) and Ala Africa Limited (16329652), Unit 9, Astra Centre, Edinburgh Way, Harlow, Essex CM20 1BN ("we"). By creating an account you accept them. Ranka is a service for businesses; you confirm you are using it for your business, not as a consumer.

1. The service

Ranka plans, writes and, if you connect your website, publishes articles for your business using AI. We may improve or change features over time. We'll give reasonable notice before removing anything significant.

2. Trial, billing and cancellation

• New accounts start with a 3-day trial for a fee of 1 unit of your currency (for example £1 or $1), charged at sign-up.
• Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan starts automatically and renews each month or year until you cancel. Current prices: £49.99/month or £499/year (GBP); $59/month or $589/year (USD); €55/month or €549/year (EUR); CA$79/month or CA$789/year (CAD); A$89/month or A$889/year (AUD); NZ$95/month or NZ$949/year (NZD). The exact price and renewal date are shown before you pay.
• You can cancel any time in Settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
• If a payment fails, Ranka keeps working while Stripe retries your card for up to about two weeks and emails you. If every retry fails, your plan ends and publishing stops; your articles stay saved if you restart.
• We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change, which applies from your next renewal.
• Prices include any VAT or other taxes that apply, so you pay the price shown.

3. Your responsibilities

• You're responsible for what is published under your name. Review articles before they go live, or use autopilot knowing articles publish without your review.
• Make sure your content complies with the laws and rules that apply to your business, including advertising standards and, where relevant, health, financial, legal or fair housing regulations.
• Only connect websites and accounts you are authorised to use, and keep your login details secure.
• Don't use Ranka to create spam, misleading or unlawful content, to infringe others' rights, or to overload or attack the service.

4. AI-generated content

Articles are produced by AI and can contain mistakes. We flag uncertain claims where we can, but we don't guarantee accuracy, search rankings, traffic or sales. Content is general information and not professional advice.

5. Ownership

You own the articles we create for you and the content you provide. You give us permission to use your content only to provide the service. We own the Ranka software and brand.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Ranka running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

8. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms. After closure we delete your content as described in our privacy policy.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will email you about significant changes before they apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
